Composer, arranger, pianist, conductor and producer, born 1909 in Evansville, Indiana, died 1977. Nicknamed "Sinky" Most active during the 1950s and 1960s, Hendricks has collaborated with artists such as Count Basie, Dinah Washington and Sarah Vaughan. As a songwriter he often teamed up with Clyde Otis and Brook Benton. Among their best known compositions are Looking Back (1958) and It's Just A Matter Of Time (1959).
