Starting his first bedroom PC productions in 1998, Ben initially promoted his outputs with live performances which, in turn, led to further exposure by being aired on 5fm and Horizon FM. His first vinyl release, "Minimal Thoughts", came out on Start Stop Records in 2001. Hooking up and honing his DJ skills with the Mushroom Mafia crowd, he built up a solid reputation in the underground scene and now performs live as part of Amoeba. Mr. Koorts also manages Red Eye Productions which promotes artists and hosts indoor and outdoor events in Gauteng and the Eastern Cape. Most recently, he's launched his own Amoeba Records label.
