Producer of Country
Ben Levine, a Bay Area native, has led a distinguished career as a musician, producer, educator, and booking agent. In 2003, Ben received a Master’s Degree in Jazz Studies from the University of Southern California. During his time at USC, Ben had the opportunity to study and perform with many Jazz luminaries including Bennie Maupin, Brian Bromberg, Scott Henderson, Carmen Bradford, Darryl Jones, Peter Erskine, and John Clayton. As a bassist, Ben has toured with former American Idol Josh Gracin, number one country music hit maker Mark Wills, and two-time country music Entertainer of the Year Neal McCoy. With his own bluegrass band, Honeywagon, Ben has performed on and produced 5 full-length albums. Honeywagon enjoyed tremendous success with their 2003 release “Green Day Blue Grass” which spent over a year in the top 10 of Billboard’s Bluegrass Album chart and peaked at #3. Ben’s playing can also be heard on the Grammy winning album, “Guitar Heroes” by the Los Angeles Guitar Quartet. Ben can be heard performing around the Bay Area with top 40 cover band, Lovefool, and with the improvisational world music group, the BEL Trio.
