Sides A & B recorded in Camden, New Jersey September 7, 1928. Both sides were originally released on Victor V-38021 on February 22, 1929. Victor 24893 was originally released on April 3, 1935 on Victor "Scroll" label. This release, on Victor "Ring" label, dates to between September, 1943 - January, 1946. NOTE: Copies of Victor 24893 (which remained in the catalog nearly until the end of the 78-rpm era) can be found on which both sides are pressed from dubbed masters, others where only SOUTH is dubbed, and rarely where both sides are pressed from original masters. SOUTH also appeared as a dubbing on both sides of Victor 44-0004.
