Composer of Spoken Word and Classical
Originating from Montfort l'Amaury, l'Abbé Bernard Navarre, organist and composer, studied with Canon Gaston Roussel and August Pierson. His last teacher was Canon Henri Carol of the Cathedral of Monaco. Appointed choirmaster at St Reparate's Cathedral by Monseignor Rémond in 1961, he has since then let this choir which now totals 110 members. Quite naturally driven to compose for his singers motets, psams and acclamations of the faithful, he also wrote, upon thier request and ofr the celebration of the centenary, a mass for a choir, two organs and orchestra.
