A.k.a. Bertil Gunnar Alving
Born May 14, 1952 in Mönsterås, is a Swedish sound engineer and producer. Alving is one of Sweden's most famous and reputable recording engineers and has made hundreds of recordings; many with choir music. He started his career as organ builder and organist, but then went to music production. He has worked for the record company Proprius. Since 2007 Alving has made several recordings for Ictus Musikproduktion. His recording of Cantate Domino with Oscars motettkör for Proprius 1976 (recorded with a Revox A77 reel to reel recorder and two Pearl TC4 microphones) is considered one of the world's best recordings of classical music and has often been used as reference recording. Bertil Alving owns the Sound Workshop company Bertil Alving Sound Production.
