Classical hornist Bethan Watkeys moved to Dublin in March 2006 to become the Principal Third Horn of the RTE National Symphony Orchestra. Before moving to Ireland, Bethan enjoyed a busy career both as a trialist and freelancer with many Orchestras in the UK and Europe. These include the BBC National Orchestra of Wales, Royal Philharmonic Orchestra, Royal Liverpool Philharmonic Orchestra, Fine Arts Brass, Remix Ensemble (Portugal) and The Orchestra of Royal Opera House, Covent Garden. Alongside her Orchestral job with the RTE Symphony Orchestra, Bethan recently accepted a position as Professor of French Horn in the Artane School of Music. Bethan also runs her own bespoke novelty cake company called “Planet of the Cakes”!
