A.k.a. Semiramis Rubim Bimba
Brazilian singer who was a member of Mário Castro Neves & Samba S.A. in the 60s, and performed at the famous nightclub Chico's Bar (located in Rio de Janeiro, RJ) during the 80s and 90s. Also known as Bimba, she became a member of Quarteto Em Cy in 1967, taking part of their U.S. tour to promote the albums recorded as The Girls From Bahia. She left to join the band A Brazuca - formed by Antonio Adolfo (piano), Luiz Claudio Ramos (guitar), Luizão Maia (bass), Vitor Manga (drums) - sharing vocals with Julie, Deis and Luís Keller. Bimba remained with the group till 1971. In 1980 she released her debut self-titled album, followed by "Morena."
