A.k.a. The Gaylads The Psalms The Rockstones
Bibby & The Astronauts was fronted by Harris B.B. Seaton, a man whose long career in music continues to this day in London. The burly Seaton, born in Kingston in 1944, first recorded as a solo singer in 1963 before forming vocal trio The Gaylads with Winson Delano Stewart and Maurice Roberts. The group cut classic rocksteady for Studio One and Gayfeet, and reggae for Beverly's, before Bibby went solo in the early seventies.
