Big Bottom was formed by Susan Stenger in 1997. The group features five electric bass guitars and a drum machine - nothing else. The core line-up features Stenger alongside visual artists Angela Bulloch, Cerith Wyn Evans and Tom Gidley, as well as bassist J. Mitch Flacko. Part-time Bottoms have included Gina Birch of the Raincoats and Alexander Hacke of Einstürzende Neubauten.
