Dance and R&B/Soul
Although Big Brooklyn Red is primarily a neosoul artist, his soulful luscious tones appear on some classic gospel style house tracks. Most notably, his work with Patrick Green, George Morel and the Soul Relic crew have been making noise in the dance community. He is a versatile artist whose approach is organic and freeflowing. Usually Big Brooklyn Red's recording sessions are one-take affairs. He listens to the track and then, with tape rolling, spits out an entire song with very little editing required. It is his talent for improvisation that has producers calling him for sessions in all genres. Add to that his Jazzy harmonic sensability and a willingness to stretch himself and the results are pure magic. Check out his website for his solo project at BigBrooklynRed.com and if at all possible catch him live whenever you can.
