Journalist, author, Hip Hop historian and chief publicist for Rush Artists Management - the promotion side of Def Jam Records from 1984 - 1990. During the next six years, Adler worked closely with a variety of artists, including Run-DMC, Dr. Jeckyll & Mr. Hyde, the Beastie Boys, LL Cool J, Public Enemy, DJ Jazzy Jeff & the Fresh Prince and De La Soul. Adler was also the co-founder of Mouth Almighty, a record label devoted to the spoken word. The label was active between 1993 and 1998.
