This CD is an independent part of Bill Fontana's project Landscape Soundings. Landscape Soundings - a composition of natural sounds recorded in late march, 1990 in the Donau Auen north of Hainburg and stored on compact disc. Landscape soundings - a fourteen day live sound sculpture between the Kunsthistorisches Museum and the Naturhistorisches Museum at Maria-Theresien-Platz in Vienna. Landscape Soundings - a series of live stereo mixes to be broadcast between various programs on Austrian radio, as well as for two editions of the program Kunstradio-Radiokunst on Österreich-1. The material for the sound sculpture at Maria-Theresien-Platz and for the radio sculptures consists of the live transmission (24 hours a day from the 16th to the 30th of May, 1990) of sounds from the Stopfenreuther Au to the Maria-Theresien-Platz in Vienna by the ORF. Landscape Soundings - a coproduction of Wiener Festwochen and ORF.
