A.k.a. William Darwin Krodel
Born in Glendale, CA on July 22, 1949, Bill lived in the South Bay all his life. A 1967 grad of North Torrance High, he also attended El Camino College as a music major. During the 1960's and 1970's, he played keyboards and guitar for several area bands, such as The Pie and Awning Company, Blind Owl and Ambrosia. In the late 1970's he began his career as a recording engineer. He owned "Opus I Studio" in Torrance for several years. Later, he was engineer/producer for area studios such as Pendragon Studios, Jet City Studios and Media Kitchen. He worked with such bands as Guns and Roses, Sensefield, Pennywise, and Motorhead. He also recorded opera singers, rap artists, gospel choirs, and even relaxation therapists! Bill passed away on September 19, 2008.
