A Texan, Bill Mack's early years were spent in Wichita Falls in North Texas where he was a singer and DJ at KWFT and MC'd shows like The Big Six Jamboree and Old Hadocol Western Barn Dance. He recorded extensively for Imperial before he joined Starday for whom he cut both hillbilly and rockabilly. More recently he was host of the Midnight Cowboy show on WBAP Forth Worth, Texas. Bill Mack is also a songwriter. His song 'Blue' was recorded by LeAnn Rimes in 1996. He picked up a country song Grammy Award for "Blue" in 1997. Mack was born June 4, 1932 in Shamrock, Texas.
