Solo Bill McHenry is the result of two days in the UnderPool studio where the American saxophonist shows his personal imagery openly and sincerely. From the beginning the recording sessions wanted to capture the daily experiences of this musician, playing in the dining room of the house, practicing, imagining, without pretending to show his most audacious abilities, just the opposite, the objective was to show the most personal moments and deep encounter between the musician, his instrument and the imagination. Bill McHenry is an experienced musician in the field of Solo, he has given concerts of this kind in many occasions and he has done it regularly, also in Barcelona Jazz Club Robadors 23. These concerts are a sound experience, which leaves no indifferent, worthy to be embodied in a phonogram. This has been the objective of this album, to capture the essence of these concerts, to capture the essence of their music. Bill McHenry is a saxophonist and composer, currently residing between Barcelona, New York and Maine. He has made numerous recordings as a leader and is known for his work with Andrew Cyrille, Paul Motian, Eric Revis, William Klein, Andrew D'Angelo, Reid Anderson, Orrin Evans, John McNeil, Ben Waltzer, Rebecca Martin, Duane Eubanks, Jamie Saft and Ethan Iverson.
