Album UK 2010 on Bragg Central Ltd. label
Rock, Folk, World, and Soundtrack (Folk Rock, Alternative Rock, Musical)
Only available from www.billybragg.co.uk 'Pressure Drop' was the latest work from On Theatre and Mick Gordon inspired by Billy's book 'The Progressive Patriot' in which he explored what it means to be English in contemporary Britain and challenged versions of patriotism proposed by the far right. For the production Billy wrote and performed new work. Part play, part gig, part installation, the event presented three generations of a white, working-class English family struggling to define themselves both in relation to one another and within a changing social landscape. Pressure Drop ran at Wellcome Theatre, London. The six songs from the play were recorded at the end of the run. The Toots and Maytall song 'Pressure Drop' was also played during show but omitted from CD release.
