American singer and songwriter (born 9 June 1888 in Columbia South Carolina - died: 19 April 1937, New York City). He worked in vaudeville and had songs issued on the early Black Swan record label. His best songs were adapted by blues and jazz musicians. Composer of early jazz standard "There'll Be Some Changes Made"
