Billy no mates started in 2004 as the solo project of Duncan Redmonds(Snuff, Guns 'n' Wankers, Duncans Diva's, The Toy Dolls). While Snuff snoozed the first album "We Are Legion" was recorded late 2004 and released early 2005 on Ten Past Twelve Records. Duncan recorded everything thus the "Billy no mates" tag. Later it was decided to try to put three bands together to play the songs live; one in Britain/Europe, one in Japan, and one in the USA. The one in the USA didn't work (yet) but the other two did and both set off on the road. After having toured Japan and Europe it was decided to record with them both. First was a split single with Milloy featuring the UK Billy line up of Duncan, Will, Wes, Joe and Tom recording a version of "Look At You" and a new song "058". Next was an album recorded in Japan in 2006 with the Japanese members. After various gigs, tours and changes in the UK line up came a Billy UK tour EP "Hotcakes" for the German tour in 2008.
