Birds of Tin is a long running experimental/ambient/sound art project based in the U.S. Over the course of more than 10 years of releases, Birds of Tin has released a series of albums that present a cohesive and recognizable environment out of pure sound. Influences are varied and the overall effect is like listening to a Joan Miro' or Jackson Pollock painting. A recent review described his work as "an intense ride full of twists and turns that keeps you listening through sheer force of execution. Its fairly open beginning filled with hushed tonalities and half sung half chanted vocalizations is gradually replaced by a phantasmagoria of cascading loops and contrasting textures of phosphorous noise that slowly increase in intensity through to the track's climax."
