Björn Bommersheim

DE
Dance
A.k.a. Dual Mono Mutex (2) Source (3)

Björn was born and raised in Bochum, Germany. Inspired by music at an early age, he started his first productions in 1996 on a PC with the Fasttracker 2 program. Heavily influenced by acid sounds, these tracks came out more on the hardcore side of things. Soon Björn acquired an analog bass synthesizer, and like the sounds of the legendary TB303, he started creating acid tunes along with his new midi synth. After some training days with midi, his music creativity began to expand at a rapid rate. In 1998, Björn was exposed to real hard slamming techno, broadcasted by the Cologne radio station Evosonic Radio. After soaking in radio shows like "Areacode" and "Subsonic" he started to create his own kind of techno and in 2001 got in contact with acid legend Rob Acid of Junkfood Records. Only one month later he released his first EP on Junkfood (JF035 - Mark 12 EP) under the artistname B.Bommersheim. Since then, Björn has gone on to release records with numerous labels and has established himself in Germany and the entire techno world as a force to be reckoned with. He performed Live Acts as "Midisports" (together with Marius Keller).
