Vasi Medley's collaboration with Alexander Cryzinski ( Black & Medley ) was a DJ & Production duo formed in Toronto, Canada. They're early casual sessions quickly resulted in they're first release. Released in 2012 on Brennan Green’s Chinatown Records ( NYC ), "Ayo Ayo" brings a potent combo of influences absorbed coming up through the mid-90s Toronto warehouse scene. Elements of Detroit, Chicago and NYC, far reaching flavors from Berlin,UK, and the Caribbean are all present. This eclectic mixture of influences is evident on "Roll The Dice". Released on Adam Marshall’s label New Kanada label. Featuring vocals by Rosina Kazi of Toronto experimental electronic soul collective LAL, Black & Medley dub out her bluesy vocal with cascading delays, spooky acid lines twists around in space while analog snares bounce around the beat. The four song "Caress Moi" EP featuring Starving Yet Full, whose inimitable falsetto graces the track "Blue Sorrow" balances plaintive gospel soul against spastic synth flourishes with crisp organic rhythms.Rosina Kazi is also be making an appearance on the EP with the song "Over Here".Pairing her uplifting and soaring melodies against ominous atmospheric pads, rolling percussion, and squelching filter accents. The Caress Moi EP will be released on Hamburg’s liebe detail in summer 2015.
