Band, 1969-1973 GB
Rock
British rock band formed from the ashes of Pesky Gee! in Leicester, England in September 1969. On account of their early use of satanic and occult imagery (including the symbolic sacrifice of a nude virgin on stage), the media regularly drew parallels with another hard rock act named Black Sabbath. Despite a measure of popularity and three albums later, the band broke up in 1973. Original members Geoff Griffith and Clive Jones have since reformed to release a new album, "Sleeping With Demons", on Hallows' Eve 2011.
