Blight was a hardcore noise band from Lansing, Michigan, formed in 1982 by Mike Achtenberg & Steve Miller, both formerly of the hardcore band The Fix, with their friend Pat Clarke and Meatmen vocalist Tesco Vee. The band stayed together for 4 months, recording a demo, a 7" EP (released in 1983 on Tesco's Touch And Go Records), and appearing on the "Meathouse" compilation. In their lifetime, the band only played live 5 times. Afterwards, Tesco departed and the band recorded a demo called "Chapter II" with a new vocalist but ended soon after. In 2006, Touch and Go compiled all the original band's recordings, including some live performances, on the "Detroit: The Dream Is Dead - The Collected Works of a Midwest Hardcore Noise Band 1982" CD.
