Bloody Amateur is Andy Comer, a guitar player and singer living in New York. Andy founded the band Tel Aviv (Teen-Beat) in his hometown of Louisville, Kentucky, in 1994. His next band, Prosaics (Dim Mak, Matador), was named one of NYC's "25 Best New Bands" by New York magazine and a "Band to Watch" by Spin. Andy most recently appeared as a guest vocalist on Invisible Conga People's In a Hole 12" (DFA). Bloody Amateur takes inspiration from the Feelies, Colin Newman, Felt, Unrest, the Chills, Roy Montgomery, and the Go-Betweens, as well as by many artists from Andy's native Louisville.
