Swiss new wave group founded by mastermind Rudi Dietrich in 1981, disbanded in 1984. Ever changing line-up, probably the most promising and the most successfull was with the later-on studio wizard Voco Fauxpas and renowned drummer Major Kain. Despite being managed by Martin Hess, who later had an astonishing success in implementing Stephan Eicher as a household name in France, Blue China stayed kind of a musician's band, darling of the critics, never breaking through to the large audience they were seeking.
