Blue Room was a new wave band from England active in the mid-1980's. They appeared on several John Hughes films' soundtracks, including "Ferris Bueller's Day Off" (with the song "I'm Afraid"), "Some Kind of Wonderful" (with the song "Cry Like This") and "Planes, Trains & Automobiles" (with the song "Every Time You Go Away").
