Canadian country music singer, songwriter and guitarist. Born in Liverpool, Nova Scotia, moved to Winnipeg at age 7. Was a paratrooper in the Canadian Armed Forces for 12 years. After leaving the forces started his music career in earnest in Montreal. An avid record collector, he also published his own fanzine in the 60s called "The Underground" focused on bluegrass and traditional country music.
