Bob Jones (born February 18, 1944 in Gloucester; died April 22, 2009) was an English mastering and cutting engineer. Started his career in the 1960s with Decca Records. Cutting engineer at Pye Studios in the late 1970s. Between 1979 and 1990 he (also) worked for De Lane Lea Studios / CTS Studios (which were part of The Music Centre, Wembley). 1990 and 1991: working at Copymasters. In 1991 one of the founding members of Sound Mastering. He also founded the reissue label Detour Records (2).
