Nashville Session Drummer b. November 10, 1958, Mesa, Arizona d. May 3, 2011, Dallas, Texas Bob studied percussion under Don Bothwell and Grant Wolf at Mesa Community College and at the University of Nevada at Las Vegas before working extensively in the Phoenix jazz community. Bob earned his drum chops the old-fashioned way, through long hours of practice, as well as jamming and gigging. He played with Stan Getz and was a member of the Charles Lewis Quintet, as well as a member in the bands of Francine, Margo, and Mike Reed, all well-known Phoenix artists. After doing work on Lyle Lovett's self-titled debut album, Bob moved to Nashville in the early 1990s and became a busy session musician and producer, doing demos and custom projects for many artists, including Peggy and Patsy Lynn, Ray Herndon, and Liza Martiñ.
