Black Beauty

Single JM on Soul Sounds label
Reggae (Roots Reggae)

"Black Beauty" is the same song as "Blacker Black", certainly mis-credited to The Eathopians on a UK Crab 7" dated 1968 (see Fire A Mus Mus Tail). It's a Count Ossie nyabinghi interpretation of the "Tabu/Africa"-rhythm (probably best-known by the Gaylads, see Africa) produced by Bobby Kalphat at Studio One and appears even on the CD-releases of From Studio One To Drum Street. "Phoenix Plus Time" is a melodica-led instrumental reggae-piece.
