Musician / Composer of Jazz
Bobby Broom is one of the top Jazz guitarists in the world today, touring with Steely Dan. He received his third nod in a row from the DownBeat Critics Poll as one of the foremost guitarists of his generation. Broom has performed as a side ma with Art Blakey and The Jazz Messengers (The only guitarist Blakey ever hired for that group), Sonny Rollins, Kenny Burrell, Stanley Turrentine, Charles Earland, Miles Davis, and Dr. John, among others. He spent 2014 touring with his group "The Bobby Broom Organi-Sation" opening for Steely Dan across North America. “Broom has one of the few truly recognizable styles among modern guitarists, and one of the most satisfying solo concepts in mainstream jazz.” - DOWNBEAT
