A.k.a. Robert Bertrand & The Lake Charles Playboys
Cajun band lead by Bobby Leger, established in the early 1950s. Original line-up consisted of Bobby Leger on accordion, Jake Bertrand on fiddle, Robert Bertrand on drums and Hilrae Mott on rhythm guitar. Martin "Bull" Leger was sometimes filling for Bobby, when he was working offshore. Robert Bertrand later moved on to play guitar and fiddle and providing vocals while Leroy Leger (Bobby's son) took over playing drums. Members included: Bobby Leger - accordion Jake Bertrand - fiddle Robert Bertrand - drums, guitar, fiddle, vocals Leroy Leger - drums Louis Fournerat - steel guitar
