Born 1949 in Sofia, Bulgaria. 1970 to 1976 he studied composition in Moscow where he attended courses of Edison Denisov. Later he worked as a teacher at the conservatoire in Sofia and at an institute for music therapy in Plovdiv. 1986 and 1988 he attended the Darmstadt holiday courses (Darmstädter Ferienkurse) for contemporary music. Since 1990 he lives in Bochum (Germany).
