Recorded at Nola Penthouse Sound Studios, New York, January 6, 1961. "Felix Krull" (a reference to the eponymous character from an unfinished novel by Thomas Mann) is an alias for Horace Parlan. In June 1961, six months after recording this LP, the lineup would record session that became Parlan's Up & Down (Blue Note BLP 4082). Original yellow and orange label with deep groove.
