Album US on Bopology, Inc. label
Jazz (Bop, Swing)
This CD was recorded live at Joe's Be-Bop Cafe in Chicago. The recording techniques employed are reminiscent of those used in the 1930s and '40s, where a full, natural room sound provided the airy style characteristic of live recordings from that era. Recordings done without the use of multiple tracks, overdubbing, or electronically produced effects are more difficult to find now in the '90s and offer a more genuine sound to the listener. By keeping true to the original live performance, this CD captures the innate spontaneity of jazz and swing.
