Breakbeatscientist
A.k.a. Stuart Hayes
After many years of being obsessed with electronic music, especially those which fell under the breakbeat hardcore, jungle, drum & bass and hardcore styles, and writing music reviews for the Strictly Nu-Skool Blog, the Breakbeatscientist alter-ego came into fruition upon my first tentative steps into music production in February 2013. The Breakbeatscientist "sound" is heavily based on the menacing darkcore style of hardcore and jungle which ruled the pirate radio airwaves from late 1992-1994 and the tech-step, drum & bass sub-genre from late 1995-1997. I have so far had tracks featured on a variety of labels including 7th Storey Projects, Jedi Recordings, Paranoid Recordings, Strictly Nu-Skool and Switchblade Digital in CD, digital, and vinyl formats.
