Guitarist, born in 1960 in Devon, UK. Brian Abbott learned to play guitar in the early 1970, and formed his first band Floating Free in 1977. In 1980 he formed another band called Airport Delay, then joined established punk band Metro Youth. He released his first recordings Woodland Shadows in 1983. He ran the Gong Appreciation Society (GAS) from 1982 to 1985, and then again from 1985 to 1988. He first met Daevid Allen in 1988 and played tablas in his Invisible Opera Company Of Tibet for a few dates. In 1991 he joined forces with Tom The Poet and Paul J.Whithall under the name Future Now. They did gigs and recorded two cassette albums. In 1992 he formed the Invisible Opera Company of Tibet (3) (UK version), and did a lot of gigs with this band. In 1994 he also joined glam rock band Diamondogz playing David Bowie and T. Rex songs (he will stay with them until 1997), and Global (4) in 1995, with Nigel Shaw and Jackie Juno, who will become his wife. In 1996 he formed another band 'Unlimited Dream Company' who will change their name to Witch (9) the following year. At that time he also founded his own label Dakini Records (2) He left The Invisible Opera Company of Tibet in 1996, only to rejoin in 2000. He then multiplied the projects, playing with bands 'Riven' (the new name of Global), 'Vamp', 'Dubblehead', 'Exile Project', 'Heretix', 'The Glissando Guitar Orchestra', 'Space Ritual', and with artists Nigel Shaw, Kevin Kendle, as well as producing his own solo albums.
