A.k.a. Brian Jackson Harris
Brian Jackson Harris began his career in the Entertainment Industry in the Marketing Department at MGM Studios where he worked on such multi-million dollar box office films as Stargate, Goldeneye, Thelma & Louise, Legally Blonde, and Die Another Day. Brian's career at MGM spanned 16 years, during which time he was introduced to many Film Producers, Directors, and Music Supervisors who advised and mentored Brian in music licensing. Brian continued to write, record, and produce music, and his original song "A Little Closer" won 1st place in the Dance category of the USA Songwriting Competition. His Asian influenced instrumental cue "Xian" placed as a finalist in the Instrumental category. In 2002 Brian sang and played keyboards on a trance version of Pink Floyd's "Comfortably Numb" which became a national dance club hit, and was highly praised on the Roger Waters website. Brian Jackson Harris graduated from UCLA Music Business in 2010 and has composed numerous cues for film and television including composing for the feature films "Ambushed" and "A Certian Justice", and composed for the theatrical trailers "Frozen Ground" and "Zero Theorem". An original song written by Brian Jackson Harris was licensed for "Walking Tall" starring The Rock on CBS and Brian co-wrote the theme song for the DVD "Beauty Shop" starring Queen Latifah. As a Music Supervisor, Brian Jackson Harris has recently licensed songs from composer's such as Christophe Beck ("Frozen", "The Hangover", "Charlie Countryman") and Benoit Martin - Music Director for Cirque du Soleil. As Music Supervisor for "The Dallas Buyers Club" theatrical trailer Brian Jackson Harris licensed songs from composers David Swan Montgomery and Arlan Felis, and as Music Supervisor for the theatrical trailer "Imogene" Brian Jackson Harris licensed songs from Bon Jovi and The Backstreet Boys. As a Composer, Brian's writing styles are diverse, but he is best noted for his Electronic cues as he has a vast collection of synthesizers and virtual synths from which to create intriguing cinematic landscapes. Having been a DJ over the past several decades just natually transitioned into the role of Music Supervisor since with both types of work he must keep his ear on what's hot and his finger on the pulse of the music scene.
