Australian jazz violinist, band leader, & vocalist. Recorded in Australia 1926-1927, and later had a very extensive recording career in Britain 1931-1940 beginning as part of the vocal duo Eddie & Rex (1931-1933), as a vocalist with Bertini's Blackpool Tower Orchestra, Maurice Winnick, Jay Wilbur, Harry Leader, Harry Hudson, Debroy Somers, Carroll Gibbons, Louis De Vries, Arthur Young, The Six Swingers, Jack Hylton, Lew Stone, Mario "Harp" Lorenzi, Louis Levy and others as well as many recordings under his own name as a solo vocalist and band leader. Returned to Australia in 1940 to take up a position at the new Romano's nightclub in Sydney. Also recorded as a vocalist with various Australian groups.
