Broken Strings are a grunge/alternative rock band from Belgrade, Serbia, formed in 2001. The original band was unnamed and on their first band practice the only guitar they had broke some of its strings so the name stuck. Since then they have been constantly changing the lineup until it settled with the vocalist Bogdan Glogovac, Đorđe Popović and Nikola Živanović on guitars, Vladimir Mijalčić playing bass and Igor Kuzmanović on drums. Since then, the bend was constantly rising in the Serbian underground rock scene getting attention for their energetic live performances and great lyrics which ultimately won them first place in the prestigious “Zaječarska gitarijada” competition in 2005. Most of the time since then they spent recording their first album entitled “Svaki Trenutak Ostaje”, released in December, 2007. The final lineup change came after the album was recorded when the founding drummer Nenad Ćurčić returned from USA permanently and rejoined the band.
