American film-animation artist, primarily working with clay models and assemblage ('Claymation'). Bickford was profiled in the 2004 Brett Ingram documentary "Monster Road", which won numerous awards. His work has featured strongly in Frank Zappa movies, most notably . Other Zappa movie credits include the TV animation special "A Token Of His Extreme" [2004] and animation for "The Dub Room Special" [1985], "Video From Hell" [1987] and "Baby Snakes" [1987].
