Bruce Murray is the sibling of Anne Murray. His first album, self-titled, was released in 1976 and co-produced by Anne. His 2nd and 3rd albums were released on Columbia and Capitol records, respectively. For most of his musical career he toured with Anne as one of her backup singers. He can be heard on two duets with Anne – ‘Heaven Is Here’ from her album “New Kind Of Feeling” and ‘Player In The Band’ from her album “Together”. In 1976 he had a moderate hit in Canada with Boz Scaggs’ “We’re All Alone” until he got usurped on the charts by Rita Coolidge’s version. ‘In The Still Of The Night’ is from his 1979 Columbia album “There’s Always A Goodbye”. That title song was later covered by Anne on her album “The Hottest Night Of The Year”.
