Album US 1959 on Mercury label
Pop
Buck Ram is best known as the "manager and musical inspiration of the Platters" and as a prolific music writer and arranger. Buck Ram And His Orchestra as is notated on this LP may also be the same group of musicians known as "Buck Ram And His Rock 'N Ram Orchestra as found on Little Richard, though only credited as Buck Ram on those submissions. That name may have been individually selected for that LP as it was compilation of performances done independently by Buck Ram and Little Richard. The orchestra musicians are unknown to this submitter at this time. No track times are given on the label or cover. As an early stereo recording, extensive technical information is provided on the back cover discussing all aspects of the recording process. Early Mercury stereo releases also came with an inner sleeve with stereo technical information. (see images).
