Buggy G Riphead is a computer graphics designer, visual artist and photographer from the UK. He was one of the members of acid/techno band Stakker and contributed additional keyboards and vocal effects to a few tracks by Humanoid. Since 1991, Riphead had been collaborating extensively with Brian Dougans and Garry Cobain, creating artwork and illustrations for most albums and EPs by The Future Sound Of London and other side projects released on Jumpin' & Pumpin' in the early 1990s. His last major commission for the group was on Dead Cities album (including a limited edition 196-page artwork book), and in 1996, Mark McLean relocated to New Zealand to pursue different projects. In the 2000s, FSOL used Buggy G Riphead archived graphics for fsoldigital.com reissues. For a few years, the artist worked in a creative partnership with Graham Brown-Martin. Together they designed and created numerous digital landscapes, concepts and promotional music videos. In 1998, Buggy G Riphead debuted as a visual FX artist in Hollywood, designing Jupiter II and Proteus space ships for Lost in Space film. Apart from FSOL-related projects, Buggy G Riphead created artwork for other electronic and Goa trance projects, such as Shakta, UX, Pleiadians, The Kumba Mela Experiment, Tangerine Dream and Edgar Froese. He also contributed photography for Neotropic and Experimental Audio Research album covers and directed Liquid Skies music video for DLT.
