Formed in New South Wales in 1954. They sang only Australian songs and they received no payment; all money earned going to assist the overall aims of repopularising bush songs and encouraging new songs in the traditional style. Members included Ann Banks, Jamie Carlin, John Dengate, Frank Maher, and Alan Scott.
