A.k.a. Dale Fairbairn

Dale Fairbairn aka Butcherboy joined the UK Hard House scene in 2000. A couple of house parties later he was playing at some of the most popular parties in London - Shepherds Bush Empire, Camden Palace, Bagleys, Soild Sunday, Toque, Quake UK, Cyber Dog, and the infamous Finger parties. In 2005 Dale returned to New Zealand and hooked up with Steve Arnold (Scuba Steve) and become great mates as they had done the same big O.E. to London. They worked on tracks together for a while then met up with Captain Tinrib who was now based in their home town, Christchurch. They produced a couple of tracks and realised they where making some wicked tunes. The Captain mentioned doing an album together and that’s when Omega 3 was born. Dale has also released some solo productions such as ‘Gay Bar’, ‘Meaty Beats’ and ‘Magnetic'. Dale saw the opportunity to raise the bar on running a professional recording label that lead to launching Carbon Recordings.
