The group was formed in 1984 by the singer Siân James and a group of friends while she was a student at the University of Wales, Bangor . The influences of folk and rock styles are evident in their music. One album called Love Love was released on the Sound label in 1984. The band won the Cân i Gymru competition in 1985 with Ceiliog y Gwynt . Geraint Cynan (June 20, 1961, Treorchy ) - Piano Rhys Harries (January 6, 1962, Newbridge ) - guitar Gareth Ioan, (19 September, 1961, Abergynolwyn ) - pipes, left the group in 1986 Llio Rolant, also left in 1986, (g May 3, 1962, Cardiff ) - harp Rhodri Tomos (April 15, 1962, Llanelli ) - guitar.
