Câmbio Negro was a Brazilian rap group from Ceilândia, born in 1990. The first formation was "X" (Alexander T. Silva) and "DJ Jamaika" (Jefferson Alves). The first album "Sub-Raça", was released in 1993 by the independent label "Discovery". On the same label, in 1995, the group released their second album: "Diário De Um Feto", selling two thousand copies in the first two weeks. In the same year, they competed for "Best Rap Group" in the "Video Music Brazil" award. A fact that was repeated the following year. The group won the award only in 1999. In the same event, they competed for "Best Video Clip Direction" with the song "Círculo Vicioso". After the singer "X" quit the band in 2000 to start his solo career, they ended up with the band.
