Transcending traditional genre boundaries, the music of Cérebro Eletrônico defies simple definitions as it floats between electronica, rock, pop, and MPB. Contrary to several other Brazilian bands and artists who have drawn inspiration from the musical cannibalism of the tropicalismo movement in the late ’60s, the eclectic genre-mixing of Cérebro Eletrônico does not sound at all forced or self-centered. The band released 3 albuns: "Onda Hibrida Ressonante" (Recohead/2004), "Pareço Moderno" (Phonobase/2008) and "Deus e o Diabo no Liquidificador" (Phonobase/2010). "Pareço Moderno" was in the top 10 list of best album of 2008 by Rolling Stone magazine and in that same year the group was nominated for best artist at the MTV Brazil Annual Award. Also, was considered one of the most important albuns of the decade by Folha de São Paulo. Their next album, "Deus e o Diabo no Liquidificador", also figured in the top 10 list of best albuns of 2010 by Rolling Stone magazine and several other publications. Actual Members: Tatá Aeroplano: Vocals, Effects - (Band Leader) Fernando Maranho: Guitar, Vocals Fernando TRZ: Keyboards Gustavo Souza: Drums, Vocals Renato Cortez: Bass, Vocals
